MedTech Venture Competition and Virtual Accelerator
MobileODT voted 2015 MedTech Innovator!
MobileODT is the winner of the 2015 MedTech Innovator competition.
MobileODT won first place in the audience vote on the main stage at AdvaMed 2015, the leading
gathering of medical technology professionals in North America. As the first place winner, MobileODT won a cash prize of $200,000.
The second place winner, Briteseed, won a $50,000 cash prize.
The cash prizes were provided by RCT Ventures, BD, and Johnson & Johnson Innovation.
Four direct awards were also presented. Spinal Singularity was awarded $25,000 worth of state-of-the-art lab space at JLABS. AMP3D, MedAware, and MobileODT were each awarded a $25,000 cash mentor grant by BD.

Finalists Announced for MedTech Innovator at AdvaMed 2015
The four Finalists have been selected who will compete LIVE in the final round of the MedTech Innovator 2015 Competition
during the AdvaMed 2015 Plenary session October 7 in San Diego, CA. Briteseed, MedAware, MobileODT and uBiome will
compete on the plenary stage for over $300,000 in awards and prizes. They were selected from an incredibly strong overall
group of twenty semi-finalists who are currently participating in the MedTech Innovator accelerator. In total, nearly 300
companies from around the globe applied to the 2015 competition.
These finalist companies have developed innovative medical technologies to help diagnose diseases, prevent errors and increase patient safety and overall health. Briteseed's technology SafeSnips facilitates the real-time detection and imaging of hidden blood vessels before surgical cuts are made. MedAware leverages big data and sophisticated algorithms to provide patient safety-centered clinical decision support tools. MobileODT creates advanced optical technology components that turn the smartphone into a mobile, affordable, and easy-to-use point-of-care tool to help detect cancer and capture a range of biomedical images. uBiome is using microbial genomics and big data to understand the human microbiome and empower participants to explore and manage their microbiomes to improve their health.

MobileODT voted MedTech Innovator of WSGR 2015 with Spinal Singularity in a close 2nd Place
MobileODT was voted the winner of the
MedTech Innovator competition, closely followed by Spinal Singularity
at the Wilson Sonsini Medical Device Conference on June 26 in San Francisco.
All twenty semi-finalists will now enter a three month virtual accelerator. At the end of the accelerator, four finalists will be selected to compete for the finals at AdvaMed 2015 October 5 - 7 in San Diego.

AdvaMed and RCT Ventures announce that the 2015 finals of the MedTech
Innovator 2015 competition will take place at AdvaMed 2015. MedTech Innovator
is a venture competition and virtual accelerator, designed to identify and support
innovative early-stage medtech companies. We are looking for 20 outstanding medtech
technologies to be part of our 2015 accelerator program. If you are selected to participate,
your company will have a unique opportunity to interact with and learn from key industry
stakeholders such as VC investors and MedTech executives in business development,
regulatory, reimbursement, and purchasing. 20 Semi-finalists will compete for over $300,000 in prizes!

Fibralign Corporation voted 2014 MedTech Innovator!
Fibralign Corporation is the winner of the 2014 MedTech Innovator competition held during the 22nd Annual Medical Device Conference, hosted by law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. As the first place winner, Fibralign won prizes valued at $150,000, including $100,000 in cash provided by RCT Ventures, $25,000 in cash provided by Johnson & Johnson Development Corporation and $25,000 worth of state-of-the-art lab space at Janssen Labs. The second place winner, Francis Lamont Innovations (FLI), won a $25,000 cash prize provided by JJDC.

The MedTech Innovator at IN3 Dublin 2014 competition took place live on-stage during Infoma's Investment In Innovation (IN3) Medical Device 360° Dublin on April 9, 2014, in Dublin, Ireland. Congratulations to Francis Lamont Innovations (FLI) winner of MedTech Innovator Qualifying Round at IN3 Summit SF 2013
FLI was voted the winner out of 51 companies at the Investment In Innovation (IN3) Medical Device 360° Summit on October 17, 2013, in San Francisco.
FLI has developed an innovative device to assist surgeons in a particular approach to total hip replacement, known as the Direct Anterior Approach. The device is called the Francis Lamont Orthopaedic Table Extension or FLOTE. "MedTech Innovator was the highlight of this year's IN3 meeting in San Francisco", said David Cassak, VP of Content at EBI. "Not only is it a fun and engaging event, it captures nicely the creativity and initiative alive in the medical device start-up world and showcases some truly ingenious technologies just coming out of the gate." FLI will move on to compete in the MedTech Innovator 2014 Final Round, which will be held in June 2014 during the 22nd Annual Medical Device Conference, hosted by law firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati.
